Here is the final Boy And His Gator picture. It's a sad parting, but a bathtub (even a clawfoot bathtub) is just not a proper place for a growing alligator. However, as you may recall in the bonus image, the boy can still always visit his little friend. :)

This picture took me forever to do. Many, many little details in the trees and undergrowth.

Other illustrations I've done of the Boy and His Gator can be seen here:

Im not sure if this is from the same thing... but I once read a book about a boy who had a gator keychain that he put in water. and it came to life and kept growing.. Any relation?? Its great work by the way. love the details.

No, sorry, this is just an idea I had. I always thought it would be neat to keep an alligator as a pet. And, of course, alligators do not make for good pets, so it just made sense that he'd have to return to the water when he got too big.

I do like the concept of the gator keychain that grows into a real gator though. :)

Thanks for the comment. :)
