Utena and Anthy

I recently rewatched the anime series Revolutionary Girl Utena (I had it on in the background while was working on Peach Fuzz storyboards to keep me company).

Once again, I'm reminded of how much I absolutely *adore* this series. Beautiful and breathtaking art, and a deep, thought-provoking story filled with symbolism. I love it. It's so surreal, there's nothing else quite like it. Kunihiko Ikuhara and Chiho Saito are brilliant, and Shinya Hasegawa's character designs are gorgeous!

Afterwards, I felt inspired to do a sketch of Utena and Anthy (my favorite anime couple ^^).
