A New Beginning!

I am proud to announce the big relaunch of The Last of the Polar Bears. As you may recall, The Last of the Polar Bears is my online graphic novel about a mother polar bear and her two cubs and their struggle to survive in the warming Arctic of the near future.

It's been a long journey getting to this point. I began work on The Last of the Polar Bears in 2009, researching polar bears and the arctic extensively, plotting the story in detail, designing the characters, and storyboarding the complete book. Now I am hard at work illustrating the pages.

Every Monday, I post a new page up on the website. It's currently up to page 15. Some of the early pages will look familiar to returning readers, but look carefully and you'll notice that they've been retouched and enhanced. Bear with me, it's all new territory once we get up to page 36. ;)

So please, come join me and the polar bears on their grand journey.

P.S. August 31 marks the close of the Arctic Animal Comic Competition www.lastpolarbears.com/arctic-…. If you participated, give yourself a big pat on the back. I am amazed and moved by the creativity, passion and variety of the entries I received. It's going to be very difficult to narrow down the winners. Check back on the website in October when I'll be announcing the results of the competition, and sharing my favorites.

Comments and favs

Finally, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has either faved a picture, watched me, and/or commented. Although it's not always possible to comment back, I do make it a point to look at everyone's deviantArt site who has done one of the above. Thanks everyone! :) You guys make me smile. Love all of you!:heart::heart:
